Terms & Conditions


No booking can be confirmed until full valid credit or debit card details are provided.

Cancellation Policies

You can cancel your booking without charge if you do so within the cancellation period of your room rate.  If you cancel after the deadline for your particular room rate policy, then you will be liable for the full charge of your stay as booked. If you shorten your stay after arrival then you will still be liable for the full cost of your stay as originally booked. Special offers may have a different cancellation policy and you will be fully advised at the time of booking. In the case of a ‘no-show’ you may wish to consider Holiday Insurance.

Check in/Check out

Rooms are available from 3:30pm on the day of arrival. If you wish to check in before 3:30pm then we can usually do this although your room may not be ready. YOU MUST CHECK IN BEFORE 8PM, unless you have contacted us to arrange a late check-in. Please contact us in advance and we will do our best to help you.


We have no safety deposit box and cannot be responsible for any of your property which is lost, stolen or damaged.

All our services are offered subject to availability. In the unlikely event that we are unable to provide accommodation as booked then we will contact you as soon as possible and return any payments made. We are family run and there may be times when the drinks service is not available.
We are sure you will take reasonable care of our property but we reserve the right to charge for any lost or damaged items. There is also a charge for lost room keys or any tobacco smoke contamination in the rooms. The Blue Palms Hotel is strictly non-smoking although you can smoke outside in the garden or on the patio, with due consideration for other guests.

Car Parking

There is limited parking at the rear and side of the property. Parking is free for our guests during their stay, but is subject to availability. If the guest would like to use our free parking, they need to follow our parking guidance to ensure no one is blocked.

Guests cannot use our parking facilities once they have checked out. There are public car parks nearby. Visitors and checked-out guests using our parking will be charged a parking fee.

Guests who use the parking facility offered by Blue Palms Hotel should be aware they do so at their own risk and that Blue Palms Hotel will accept no responsibility for the vehicle or its contents.

Lost Property

Any items left behind must be claimed within 14 days of departure. The cost of postage and packing must be paid for before return.  Perishable items will be disposed of.  

Dangerous Goods

Guests must not bring toxic, flammable, noxious or otherwise hazardous, illegal or offensive substances or materials to the hotel.   

Registration of Guests

All guests must complete a registration card upon arrival.  Unregistered guests are not permitted in guest rooms.  Visitors must be registered with the hotel and must leave by 10pm.  

Care of Hotel & Guest Property, etc.

Our guests normally take good care of the hotel property.  We reserve the right to charge for any lost or damaged items. There is a charge of £35 for any lost keys.  We have no safety deposit box and cannot be responsible for any of your own items lost, stolen or damaged, other than by our own negligence.


The Blue Palms Hotel is strictly non-smoking.  Ashtrays are provided outside.  Should there be any evidence of smoke contamination caused by smoking inside the hotel or from a window, there will be a minimum charge of £50 to cover the cost of extra cleaning.  Additional charges will be levied if the smell of smoke precludes our letting of the room even after extensive cleaning.
